1. Jesus has rescued us: Just as parents rescue a child from the kidnappers by paying a ransom in return, Lord Jesus paid His life as ransom for our souls. When we read and ponder on the Bible there arises a strong desire within the person to come closer to the presence of God. Similarly, just as the kidnappers would threaten the parents over a call, devil within us threatens and tries to draw us away from the Bible by saying that we are not worthy to receive Him. Romans 5:9-10, 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Use these words as a shield and weapon against your fight with Satan.
The blood on the cross that all that was said has come true. Jesus said that he has saved the mankind with His blood.
2. We are inheriting everlasting life: 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18, 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
John 14:3, 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
1 John 2:2, 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 4:10, 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Hebrews 9:28, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
3.We are God’s own: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
1 Peter 1:18-19, 18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
When Satan comes closer to us, Jesus comes between us and says, He/ She is mine, so do not step any closer. But it should come not just from Jesus, each one of us should also proclaim it loud. When a person purchases a cloth, it becomes his/ her possession. Do not forget this. Romans 3:24-25, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—
4.We are the winners: Revelation 12:11, 11 They triumphed over him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.
Jesus made us all winners by shedding His blood on the cross for us in His fight with Satan. Jesus has tattooed each one of us with His blood soaked cross. None of our good deeds or acts can earn us the title of a winner. Jesus defeated the arrogance of Satan by giving up His life for us and winning the battle for each one of us. Dear children of God, we do need to participate in any competition for this. What we do need to do is to proclaim in our hearts that Jesus died for me and He suffered pain and death for me. So repent from your sins.
May the speaking blood of Christ be our refuge, fortress and salvation.
